In light of the ongoing crisis in Gaza and Israel, we intend for your Gift for Peace to continue providing vital medical care in Gaza once it’s safe to do so. During this time, gifts related to Gaza will be used to support our emergency response work on the ground, providing lifesaving care for civilians in Gaza caught in the escalating conflict.
Since 2007, families in Gaza have been living under a blockade, often unable to access the vital healthcare they need. For children suffering from malnutrition and anaemia, a lack of basic medicine can have lifelong impacts. With this Gift for Peace, children under 6 years old can be referred to the clinic for a full check-up from a doctor and receive any basic medicine they require.
The gift of medicine will help a child like Hana* (pictured on the card) in Gaza. She was diagnosed with anaemia at the age of four. Act for Peace’s partner on the ground is supporting children like her by providing lifesaving medicine and treatment.
Hana’s mother said:
“It's really hard, these days we can't afford everything for the children, sometimes my children go to school without even a penny in their pockets, no money, so they can't buy anything.”
This Gift for Peace will help to provide access to critical physical and emotional support for many families like Hana’s. With your support, together, we can help children like Hana and create a world where everyone has a safe place to belong.
